How do I join the HWBKA?
A.
Come to our next meeting! Alternatively you may contact the
association by email (contact@hwbka.co.uk).
The meetings are usually on the last Friday of the month
- September through to May. We also run summer events at
members apiaries throughout the county. Please refer to
either the Events section or the downloads section for
our latest newsletter which details the next event
dates.
Q. How much does it cost to join the HWBKA and are there
any membership benefits?
A.
HWBKA membership costs £27.50 per year. This includes
insurance, membership to the British Bee keeping
Association (BBKA) also the Bucks County Bee Keeping
Association.
Membership benefits include a reduced subscription rate to
Bee Craft, use of the members-only area of our website,
help with finding a site to keep your bees close to High
Wycombe, our monthly newsletter, and use of the following:
1. Honey extractor
2. Extensive Library of useful and some rare books on
Beekeeping
3. Monthly talks by leading experts in the field of
Beekeeping
4. Expert tuition by friendly and enthusiastic beekeepers
5. Access to the latest information and legislation from
the British Bee Keepers Association (BBKA)
6. Third party insurance provided through the BBKA.

Q. How often does the HWBKA meet?
A.
The HWBKA meets on the last Friday of each month at 7:30PM.
September through May.We also run summer events at members
apiaries throughout the county.

Q. What happens at a Beekeepers Meeting?
A.
Guest speakers are invited to talk to our members on
various topics. There is normally a good selection of home
made cakes too!
