If you are thinking of keeping bees or just want to learn more about honey bees then why not come along to our apiary open day. Its a chance to talk to beekeepers and learn about:
- what it takes to look after bees,
- the casts of honey bee,
- what the bees get up to in their hive,
- why bees swarm,
- how to encourage bees,
- and much much more.
Best of all, you will have the opportunity to put a bee suit on and get close to a hive, to see inside and to look at the bees on their comb (weather permitting).
There is limited parking at the apiary and we need to group people to look at the bees so we ask you to book your visit for a particular slot arriving for 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, or 15:00 on Sunday 10th July 2022.
Cost: free of charge
There are limited slots available so to book a visit please contact Paul at secretary@hwbka.co.uk with a list of time slots you could come and how many people there are in your party. We will schedule visits and respond with directions to the apiary between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough.
