Come and find out more – not just about the fascinating world of honey bees, but also bumble bees, solitary bees and a whole host of other pollinators! Did you know we have over 250 native bees in the UK?
There will be a short introduction, then different tables to move around with activities, things to look at and people to talk to. What exactly is pollination, what to plant in your garden to support pollinators, how to make a bee hotel, candle rolling, what makes an insect, identifying bumblebees, how does a honey bee colony work, what threats do pollinators face …. all in an afternoon!
Everyone’s welcome – including interested children that bring an adult with them. There is some parking outside the Centre or round the corner in the retail park.
